Privacy Policy

In short: Allergy Tracker stores what you type on your iPhone. If you turn on iCloud sync, it also stores it in your own private iCloud account. There's no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no pollen, weather, or location data of any kind. The sections below explain exactly what that means.

Who this policy covers

This policy describes how the Allergy Tracker iOS app handles information. It matches the app's actual behavior rather than a generic template: if that behavior ever changes (for example, if analytics or a new network service were added), this page will be updated before that change ships.

Information you enter in the app

Allergy Tracker asks you one question: how your allergies are today. Everything it stores comes directly from what you choose to enter:

A severity level (None, Mild, Moderate, Bad, or Severe) and a timestamp
Optional symptoms you select (for example, sneezing or itchy eyes)
An optional "took medication" marker
An optional short note, up to 500 characters

This is self-reported health information. It is never required beyond the severity level, and it is never analyzed, scored, or interpreted by the app beyond simple counts (like how many Bad or Severe days you logged in the last week).

Location

Allergy Tracker does not request location access and does not use your location for anything. The app does not include Apple's location permission at all.

Pollen, weather, and environmental data

Allergy Tracker does not connect to any pollen, weather, or air-quality service, and does not display forecasts or environmental conditions. Everything in your history comes from what you record yourself.

Where your data is stored: on your iPhone

Entries are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. The app works fully offline, and this on-device copy is included in your normal encrypted iPhone backups.

Cloud storage and sync

iCloud sync is optional. If you're signed in to iCloud, your entries are mirrored to your own private iCloud database, using Apple's CloudKit, under your Apple ID. That private database is accessible only to you across your own Apple devices. It is not shared, not public, and not accessible to the developer. The developer never receives a copy of your allergy history through this sync.

You can turn sync off at any time by signing out of iCloud on your device, or by disabling Allergy Tracker's iCloud access in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud. If sync is off or unavailable, the app continues to work normally using its local, on-device copy.

Third-party services

Allergy Tracker does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software. The only network connections the app can make are to Apple's own services: the App Store (for the optional Lifetime purchase) and iCloud/CloudKit (for optional sync, described above). No allergy data is sent to any other company or server.

Analytics

Allergy Tracker does not use any analytics SDK. It does not track how you use the app, and it does not know who you are.

Crash reporting

The app does not include a dedicated crash-reporting SDK. If you've opted in, at the operating-system level, to share diagnostics with app developers (iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share standard crash and performance diagnostics under Apple's own policies. Those diagnostics do not include the content of your allergy entries.

Purchases

Allergy Tracker offers one optional purchase: a one-time "Lifetime" unlock, processed entirely through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. Apple handles your payment details directly. The developer never sees your card number or billing information, and receives only confirmation that a purchase was made.

Retention and deletion

Your entries stay on your device until you remove them. You can delete an individual entry at any time from History, or permanently erase everything at once using Delete All Data in Settings.

Uninstalling the app removes its local copy of your data from that device. If iCloud sync was turned on, a copy may remain in your private iCloud account until you delete it from within the app or remove Allergy Tracker's iCloud data via iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.

Children's privacy

Allergy Tracker is not directed at children and is not knowingly used to collect information from children under 13. The app has no account system and collects no information beyond what a user manually enters.

Changes to this policy

If Allergy Tracker's data practices change (for example, if a new feature introduced a new type of data collection), this page will be updated first, with a new "Last updated" date above, before that change ships in the app.
